Someone searches “car repair dublin” on Google Maps: the shop moves from out of sight to the top of the list, with more reviews and a better rating, and the phone rings with a new customer. Shop and data are examples.

You're on the main street and Google shows someone two towns over

Every one of these costs your listing, and every one can be fixed.
  • Google sends people to the wrong townland because your profile has no Eircode.
  • Your hours don't show the bank holiday, and a customer drove out to a closed door.
  • You're listed as “Shop” when what you do is bike repairs.
  • The practice down the road has ninety reviews with replies; you have nine, unanswered.

What happens when your profile and your website tell Google the same thing

How we get there

We work on both together. The profile, field by field, with manager access you give us while you remain the owner. The website, with a page for each service and each town you really cover, linked from the listing.

We can't promise a spot on the map, since Google decides it and your competitors move too. The profile and the site are ours to get right, and you see each change with its before and after.

  • A listing people trust

The right category, current hours (holidays too), real photos and answered reviews. It's what people check before they tap “Call”.

Google Business Profile reviewed field by field

  • Calls from people a few minutes away

People searching the map are usually in a hurry and close by. If they find you and like what they see, they call that day.

  • Seen in every area you serve

If you drive to customers, Google and your customers see which towns you cover, each with details of its own.

How local SEO works with us

We start with what customers see on the map and end with what they find on your site.
  1. We search from your area

We run the searches for your services the way a neighbour would, on a phone, and note who shows up on the map and why.

  2. We line up your details

One way of writing your name, address and phone, and a list of every place online where they show up differently.

  3. We fix the profile and the site

A complete profile, a page per service and area, and call and text buttons within reach. Every change with its before and after on your tracking page.

  4. We make reviews easy to ask for

A link, a QR code and a ready-to-send text message for the end of each job. Asking is the part that depends on you; we make it two taps.

Questions about local SEO in Ireland

What owners with a local area ask. If yours isn't here, put it in the audit form.

What is local SEO, in plain terms?

It's the work that gets you onto Google Maps and into searches for your town: a complete Google Business Profile in the right category, your Eircode and details the same everywhere, a page per service and town, and a steady flow of reviews. The result is calls from people nearby.

What does local SEO cost in Ireland?

With us, a monthly fee priced after the free audit, depending on how many towns and services we cover, and including the profile, the town pages and the review system. The first invoice comes once it's live and you've checked it, with no set-up charge and no minimum term. The Google profile itself is free.

Should I add my Eircode to Google?

Yes. It pins your exact location, which matters most in rural areas where several addresses share a townland name. Put the same Eircode on your profile, your website and any directory you're listed in.

Can I show up on the map if I work from home?

Yes, as a service-area business: you hide your address and list the towns and counties you cover. Google ranks you by distance from your base, so pages and reviews do the work for the rest of your area. Using a fake address breaks Google's rules.

Do I keep ownership of my Google profile?

Always. You add us as a manager and stay the owner. If you stop working with us, you remove our access and nothing else changes.

How do I get more Google reviews without breaking the rules?

Ask every customer, at the right moment, with a direct link or a QR code, and never offer anything in return, which Google forbids. We set up the link, the code and a ready-to-send message, and help you reply to every review, good or bad.

Local SEO gets a business onto Google Maps and into searches for its town. Google ranks those results by relevance, distance and prominence, so the work covers your Google Business Profile, your Eircode and details, your reviews and a website with a page per service and town.

More detail: Local SEO and Google Maps

The business already on the map keeps collecting the reviews

Google says more reviews and good ratings help local ranking (its guide to local results). Whoever is on the map gets more views, more customers and so more reviews. Each month your listing stays half-done, those go to someone else.

The good part: a wrong category or a missing Eircode is fixed the day it's found. In the free audit we search for your services from your area and tell you what to change first.

Local SEO in Ireland: Eircode, Golden Pages and service areas

The details Google compares (name, address, phone) should be written identically on your site, your profile and the directories Irish customers use, like Golden Pages, and on Apple Business Connect and Bing Places, since iPhones open Apple Maps by default. Add your Eircode everywhere: it pins a rural address that a townland name alone doesn't.

If you go out to customers (a plumber, a mobile vet, a window cleaner), Google asks you to hide your address and list the areas you serve instead (its guidelines). We list towns and counties the way people search for them, and give the main ones a page on your site.

Why the business across the road comes up first on the map

When a search has local intent (“near me”, your city's name or something people hire nearby), Google shows a map with three businesses above the regular results. That's the local pack, and Google has published the three things that decide who gets in (tips to improve your local ranking). Years in business isn't one of them, and Google says there's no way to pay for a better local ranking.

  • Relevance

How well your profile matches the search. Google asks for complete, accurate details: category, services, hours and description.

we work on it: it's the profile

  • Distance

How far you are from the person searching. That's why the map changes from one street to the next, and why a fake address makes no sense.

    can't be changed

  • Prominence

How well known you are: how many reviews you have and how good they are, how many sites mention or link to you and how strong your own site is.

we work on it: reviews, mentions and your site

Getting your Google Business Profile right, field by field

Many people still call it Google My Business; today it's the Google Business Profile, and it's the listing people see on the map. We manage it with manager access you give us: ownership stays with you and you can remove us whenever you want. We don't delete profiles or create new ones without explaining why first.

Beyond filling it in, we watch what tends to slip by: edits to your details suggested by Google or by users, unanswered questions, photos uploaded by strangers and special hours for holidays. Two mistakes drag a listing down more than the rest: a generic category and two profiles for the same business splitting the reviews.

If you'd rather do it yourself first, how to rank higher on Google Maps walks you through the steps. And if you need to be on the map from day one while the profile gains strength, Google Maps ads get you there by paying per click.

A local SEO company for businesses in any county

To do local SEO for Sligo or Waterford we don't need to be on your street. You give us access to the profile, tell us how you work, and we search the way a local would. What counts is knowing the real searches in your area.

If you have more than one location, each gets its own profile and its own page, linked to each other. And if you want to be the name ChatGPT gives for your service in your town, those profiles and pages are where it starts; more in AI search optimisation.

What's included, point by point

  • The category you belong in

It's one of the things that matters most for the map, and few people revisit it after signing up. We choose it by also looking at the businesses that show up today.

primary and secondary Business Profile categories

  • A complete, up-to-date profile

Services with descriptions, regular and holiday hours, real photos, posts, and the “Website” button leading to the page for your area instead of the home page.

tagged link to count visits from Maps

  • Storefront or service area

If customers come to you, your address shows. If you go to them, Google asks you to hide it and list the areas you serve (its guidelines).

    storefront or service-area business

  • Citations and local links

Name, address and phone written the same way on your site, your profile and the directories you're already in, plus local sites that would mention you: your chamber of commerce, suppliers, sponsors.

NAP consistency, citations and local link building

  • A page per area, with its own content

For each town you really serve: when you go, how long it takes to get there, jobs done nearby. The exact list of areas goes in your proposal.

no cloned pages with the town name swapped

  • Your details in the format Google reads

Name, address, hours, area and services described in your site's code, so Google doesn't have to guess them.

    LocalBusiness structured data, validated

  • Reviews: how to ask and how to reply

A direct link, a QR code, a ready-to-send message and guidelines for answering good and bad reviews.

no incentives in exchange: Google's review policy forbids them

When local SEO pays off in your town, and when it won't

Worth it if

  • You serve customers in a specific area, at your place or theirs.
  • You have a Google listing, but someone else shows up first on the map.
  • Your customers would leave a review if you asked.
  • You have several locations and want each to show up in its own area.

Not a fit if

  • You want bought or fake reviews. Google removes them and can penalise the listing.
  • You only sell online, nationwide, with no area you serve: website SEO fits better.
  • You want a virtual office to show up in another city. Google doesn't allow it and suspends listings for it.
