How much does a website cost in Ireland?
What Irish small businesses pay for a website in 2026, from a basic brochure site to an online shop, with the source; running costs, VAT, grants and how to compare quotes.
Most of your customers browse on a phone, in a few spare minutes. We build Shopify or WooCommerce shops where finding the product, trusting you and paying take seconds.
We start from how Irish shoppers search for your products and build the shop around it: categories that match those searches, product pages that answer buying questions and filters that help.
Then the checkout: guest checkout, the payment methods people use here, delivery costs shown early and nothing that sends them back to the start. Every sale is tracked, so you know what each product and campaign brings in.
Light images and lean code so product pages load fast on a phone, even with lots of photos.
Core Web Vitals
Guest checkout, delivery shown in the basket and only the fields you need.
Categories with copy, product data Google can show and a clean feed for Shopping.
Product structured data and Merchant Center feed
How customers search for your products and how your catalogue should be organised.
Platform, structure, how many products we load, the price and the opening date, agreed before we start.
The shop designed for phones, products loaded, payments, delivery and VAT set up, all on a private copy you can review.
The shop goes live, old addresses redirected if there's a previous shop, and sales tracked from the first order.

On a phone, delivery costs show only at the last step, and nothing says the orders ship from Galway.

Irish online shops cost €2,500-€20,000, according to the pricing guide of Vimar, an Irish agency. A shop normally needs more work than a brochure site: payments, delivery rules, product imports. The fixed price goes in your proposal after the audit, and you pay once the shop is live and you've checked it.
Shopify is simpler to run and includes hosting, with a monthly plan and app costs. WooCommerce runs on WordPress, with lower subscriptions, more freedom and more upkeep. We recommend one in the audit based on your catalogue and how you work.
If you sell to consumers online, it may: it sets accessibility requirements for ecommerce across the EU since June 2025, with exemptions for microenterprises. We build new shops to its requirements anyway, because the same work helps every customer and Google.
Yes. Products, customers and order history move where the platforms allow, old addresses point to the new pages and we switch over on a quiet day. The old shop keeps taking orders until then.
Yes, usually by importing them from your current shop or a spreadsheet. We rewrite the descriptions of your best sellers; the rest come across as they are and can be improved later.
Ecommerce website design means building an online shop that's easy to browse and quick to pay in: categories that match how people search, product pages that answer buying questions and a short checkout. We build on Shopify or WooCommerce, ready for Google, accessible and with every sale tracked.
Since June 2025, the European Accessibility Act sets accessibility requirements for ecommerce services sold to consumers across the EU, Ireland included (European Commission). A new shop built to them from the start costs far less than retrofitting an old one.
And every abandoned basket from an ad is a click you've already paid for. The free audit shows where buyers leave your shop today.
Irish consumers buying online generally have 14 days to cancel, and the shop has to tell them before they pay (Citizens Information). We put the cancellation and returns information where people look for it, on the product page and at checkout.
Prices in euro with VAT included, delivery options and costs before the basket (An Post, a courier, click and collect), and a checkout with cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal. If you also sell into other EU countries, we plan delivery and VAT settings with your accountant's input rather than guessing.
Shopify is simple to run and takes care of hosting and payments; WooCommerce gives more control and runs on WordPress, which we also use for our websites. Both work well for a small shop. What matters more is how the catalogue is organised and how fast it loads. We recommend one in your proposal, with the reasons.
If you already sell online, the new shop keeps what works: products, customers and order history move where the platform allows, and every old product and category address leads to its new page. That's how you keep the visits Google already sends you.
We plan the move the same way as a website redesign that protects your rankings: a list of the pages that bring visits, a redirect for each one and a check after opening.
Categories and filters organised around how people search for your products.
