How much does SEO cost for a small business?
What SEO providers charge per month, per hour and per project, with the US and Canada figures from two pricing surveys, what each price should include and the warning signs.
Someone searches for a dentist or a mechanic on a phone and Google shows a map with three businesses. We work on your profile, your reviews and your site so one of them is yours.
We work on both at once. The profile, field by field, with manager access you give us while you stay the owner. The website, with a page for each service and each area you really serve, linked from the listing.
We can't promise a spot on the map: Google decides it, and your competitors move too. The profile and the site do depend on us, and you see every change with its before and after.
The right category, current hours (holidays too), real photos and answered reviews. It's what people check before they tap “Call”.
Google Business Profile reviewed field by field
People searching the map are usually in a hurry and close by. If they find you and like what they see, they call that day.
If you drive to customers, Google and your customers see which towns you cover, each with details of its own.
service area on the profile and one page per area
We run the searches for your services the way a neighbor would, on a phone, and note who shows up on the map and why.
One way of writing your name, address and phone, and a list of every place online where they show up differently.
A complete profile, a page per service and area, and call and text buttons within reach. Every change with its before and after on your tracking page.
A link, a QR code and a ready-to-send text message for the end of each job. Asking is the part that depends on you; we make it two taps.
Paste your keywords and see the traffic, leads and revenue at stake and what that traffic would cost in ads.

Someone searching “dog groomer near me” two blocks away doesn't see you on the map: your profile says “Pet store” and links to your home page.

They're the work that gets a business showing up on Google Maps and in local searches: optimizing the Google Business Profile, building a page per service and area, keeping your details consistent across the web and getting more reviews. For your business, that means calls and visits from people nearby.
With us, a monthly fee quoted after the free audit: it depends on how many areas and services we cover, and includes the profile, the area pages and the review system. The first fee comes once the setup is live and you've checked it, with no setup fee and no long-term contract. A Google Business Profile itself is free; what you pay for is the work.
With four pieces: a complete Google Business Profile in the right category, a steady flow of reviews, the same contact details everywhere and a website with a page per service and area. You can start with the profile yourself; if competition nearby is tough, it pays to have someone work on it every week.
You can show up with just a listing, but the website counts: Google uses it to judge how well known you are, and it's where people go to learn more before calling. If you don't have one, or it has no page per service, we tell you in the audit.
Yes. You add us as a manager and stay the owner the whole time. If you ever stop working with us, you remove our access and everything stays as it is.
We don't buy or invent reviews, and we don't offer anything in exchange for them: Google's policies forbid it and it removes reviews that look like it. We make it very easy to ask every customer, including the ones who weren't thrilled, and to reply well.
Only Google can remove reviews, and only if they break its rules (spam, conflicts of interest or offensive content). We help you report the ones that qualify and write calm, useful replies to the rest, which future customers read too.
Local SEO is the work that gets a business onto Google Maps and into searches for its area. Google ranks those results by relevance, distance and prominence, so the work covers your Google Business Profile, your reviews, your details across the web and a website that backs up the profile.
Google says that more reviews and good ratings help a business's local ranking (its own guide to local ranking). The business already on the map gets more profile views, more customers and, with them, more reviews. Each month your listing stays half done, those reviews go to someone else.
The good news: a wrong category or old hours can be fixed as soon as they're found. In the free audit we search for your services from your area, compare your listing with the three that show up and tell you what we'd change first.
When a search has local intent (“near me”, your city's name or something people hire nearby), Google shows a map with three businesses above the regular results. That's the local pack, and Google has published the three things that decide who gets in (tips to improve your local ranking). Years in business isn't one of them, and Google says there's no way to pay for a better local ranking.
How well your profile matches the search. Google asks for complete, accurate details: category, services, hours and description.
we work on it: it's the profile
How far you are from the person searching. That's why the map changes from one block to the next, and why a fake address makes no sense.
can't be changed
How well known you are: how many reviews you have and how good they are, how many sites mention or link to you and how strong your own site is.
we work on it: reviews, mentions and your site
Many people still call it Google My Business; today it's the Google Business Profile, and it's the listing people see on the map. We manage it with manager access you give us: ownership stays with you and you can remove us whenever you want. We don't delete profiles or create new ones without explaining why first.
Beyond filling it in, we watch what tends to slip by: edits to your details suggested by Google or by users, unanswered questions, photos uploaded by strangers and special hours for holidays. Two mistakes drag a listing down more than the rest: a generic category and two profiles for the same business splitting the reviews.
If you'd rather do it yourself first, how to rank higher on Google Maps walks you through the steps. And if you need to be on the map from day one while the profile gains strength, Google Maps ads get you there by paying per click.
To do local SEO for your area, we don't have to be on your street. You give us access to the profile, tell us how you work, and we run the searches the way someone from your neighborhood would. What counts in a local SEO company is knowing the real searches in your area.
If you have several locations, each one gets its own profile and its own page, and each profile links to its page. And if you want to be named when people ask ChatGPT for your service in your city, those same profiles and pages are the starting point; we cover it in AI search optimization.
It's one of the things that matters most for the map, and few people revisit it after signing up. We choose it by also looking at the businesses that show up today.
primary and secondary Business Profile categories
Services with descriptions, regular and holiday hours, real photos, posts, and the “Website” button leading to the page for your area instead of the home page.
tagged link to count visits from Maps
If customers come to you, your address shows. If you go to them, Google asks you to hide it and list the areas you serve (its guidelines).
storefront or service-area business
Name, address and phone written the same way on your site, your profile and the directories you're already in, plus local sites that would mention you: your chamber of commerce, suppliers, sponsors.
NAP consistency, citations and local link building
For each town you really serve: when you go, how long it takes to get there, jobs done nearby. The exact list of areas goes in your proposal.
no cloned pages with the town name swapped
Name, address, hours, area and services described in your site's code, so Google doesn't have to guess them.
LocalBusiness structured data, validated
A direct link, a QR code, a ready-to-send message and guidelines for answering good and bad reviews.
no incentives in exchange: Google's review policy forbids them
