How to rank higher on Google Maps in Ireland
Claim and verify your Google Business Profile, add your Eircode, choose the right category and earn reviews: what gets an Irish business on the map and up it.
Climbing the map on your own takes a while. Ads put your business at the top, marked as sponsored, as soon as the campaign is approved, and we count every call.
We link your Business Profile to Google Ads and set up campaigns that can put you on the map and in local results, with your rating, distance and buttons to call or get directions.
We hold the ads to the towns you really serve and the hours someone answers, so you don't pay for clicks you can't take, and count every call. Meanwhile local SEO keeps building, so the ads matter less over time.

Through Google Ads: link your Business Profile as a location asset and run a campaign type that can serve on Maps, like Search or Performance Max. Your ad can then appear as a promoted pin or at the top of local results, and you pay per click.
Clicks are paid to Google from your account, within a daily limit you set, and their cost depends on your trade and area. On Clutch, most agencies charge US$100-US$149/hour for Google Ads work. Ours depends on how many towns and services we advertise and is in your proposal, with no set-up charge and no minimum term; the first invoice comes once you've signed off the ads.
Often the profile isn't linked as a location asset, the campaign type doesn't serve on Maps, or the area and budget are too tight. Google also chooses when to show map ads, so they won't appear on every search.
Yes. You can target a county, a town or a radius from your base, and exclude areas you don't serve. Google doesn't offer Maps-only campaigns, so the same ads also show in ordinary search, within that area.
Google lists Ireland among the countries with Local Services Ads, for certain categories only, charging per lead after it checks the business. Whether your trade qualifies is something we confirm in the audit, along with whether they'd suit you.
Google Maps ads promote your business on the map and in local searches, labelled as sponsored, as a promoted pin or at the top of results. They run from Google Ads with your Business Profile linked, and you pay per click. We keep them to your area and hours and count the calls.
For urgent jobs (a locksmith, a burst pipe, a broken-down car) people ring the first business on the map that looks trustworthy. Ads put you there while your profile earns its place for free.
In the free audit we show you how the map looks for your services today and whether ads make sense where you are.
Advertising locally on Google in Ireland can mean Maps and local search ads with your profile linked, call-focused ads with the phone button first, or, for some categories, Local Services Ads, which Google lists as available in Ireland and charge per lead after checking the business (Google's countries and categories). Which apply to you depends on your trade, and the audit says which.
Area matters more than people expect in Ireland: a radius drawn round Athlone takes in three counties. We set it by county or town and add your Eircode to the profile so the pin lands where you actually are.
Google describes two main formats: promoted pins, square pins that stand out from the regular round ones, and ads at the top of search results inside Maps. To show there, your Google Ads account needs location assets, and the campaign has to be a type that serves on Maps: Search with location assets, Performance Max, Smart or Demand Gen (Google's help page on ads on Maps).
One detail surprises many owners: Google doesn't let you run ads only on Maps. The same campaign also shows in regular search, which is why we write the ads for both places.
