How much does SEO cost in Ireland?
What SEO costs an Irish small business per month in 2026, from local to national campaigns, with the source, what each price should include and the warning signs.
We're a two-person SEO company working with Irish trades, practices and shops. We rebuild your website and Google listing around the searches people make in your town and county. After that, each month: new or improved pages, your Google profile kept current and a summary of the work on your tracking page.
Your Google profile, your reviews and your website agreeing with each other, so you show up on the map when people search nearby.
We find what's holding your site back on Google, list it by what it costs you and fix it, with every change recorded.
Category and product pages that come up when people search for what you sell, so the shop gets orders without paying for every click.
When someone in Mullingar searches “attic conversion near me”, Google looks for the page that answers best. A page about attic conversions, with prices from your quote sheet, timings and photos of jobs, competes. A line on a list doesn't.
So we build from the searches outwards: how people in your area search, which page answers each one and which towns deserve their own page. Your local SEO and Google profile get worked on in parallel, because for most Irish searches the map comes first.
Each main service gets its own page, so someone searching for it lands right on it instead of your home page.
one page per search: Google knows what each one answers
If you cover Kildare, Naas and Newbridge, the towns that justify it get a page with what's different there.
no cloned pages with the town swapped
A page that ranks keeps bringing visits month after month, with no cost per click to Google.
We run the real searches in your area on a phone and note who shows up and with which page. If you already have a site, we look at what brings you visits today, because that gets protected first.
We decide which pages you need and which search each one answers. That map goes into your plan, with the date the setup goes live, before you decide anything.
We ask you, in one message, for what only you know and draft every page. You approve it and follow every task on your private tracking page.
We tell Google about the new pages and you check them. Then the monthly fee starts, and each month we add pages, reviews and mentions, with every enquiry counted.
Paste your keywords to see the visits, enquiries and revenue at stake, and what those visits would cost in ads.

1 · What we found
Searching “roofer tralee” on a phone, you're on page two with your home page; there's no page about roof repairs or Killarney.
2 · The plan, page by page
3 · Fixed quote
New pages, your Google Business Profile and the fixes to your site are published first. Once you've checked them, the first monthly invoice goes out.
Rankings are Google's call, so we don't put them in a contract. What we commit to is the work in your plan, and you can see every task as it's done.
How the monthly fee worksOurs is a monthly fee priced for your business once we've done the free audit, with the first round of work included and no minimum term. The first invoice comes once the new pages, your Google profile and the site fixes are live and you've checked them. A new website is priced separately, and we tell you in the audit if you need one.
No. It runs month to month and you can stop with 30 days' notice. Everything done stays on your site and in your name, from the pages to the Google profile and the tracking accounts.
Yes. The fixed price is given before VAT, and the invoice, in euro, adds it on its own line. If you're VAT-registered, your accountant will know how it works for your returns.
For local searches, usually yes: Google weighs distance and relevance, so a well-built page and profile in your town can beat a bigger firm further away. For national searches it's harder, and the audit tells you which searches are realistic for you.
Who will actually do the work, what they'd change first on your site, how they report what was done and whether the accounts stay in your name. Be careful with anyone guaranteeing first place or selling packages of links.
It depends on your town, your competition and your site, so any date we gave you would be a guess. Google needs time to read a new page and longer to trust it. In the audit we tell you what usually moves first for a business like yours.
SEO is the work that gets your website onto the first page of Google for what you do, without paying per click. We do it for Irish small businesses for a monthly fee: no set-up charge, no minimum term, and the first invoice only once the new pages and fixes are live and checked.
Google takes time to trust a new page: it has to find it, read it and see that people stay on it. That clock only starts once the page is live, and money can't speed it up.
Meanwhile, whoever is at the top for your town keeps collecting the visits, the jobs and the reviews. To see where you stand today, ask for the free SEO audit.
Irish searches are often made at town or county level (“plumber Navan”, “solicitor County Clare”), and a lot of businesses cover a whole county from one base. We plan area pages around the towns people actually type, and only where there's something real to say about each one.
Every Irish address has its own Eircode (eircode.ie), and rural addresses that share a townland name are where Google and customers get lost most. We make sure your Eircode is on your site and your Google profile, written the same way, alongside your name and phone. And because the Data Protection Commission expects consent before analytics cookies (its guidance note), we track progress mainly with Search Console, which doesn't rely on cookies.
Google crawls your site, stores the pages it finds useful and, when someone searches, ranks the ones that answer best. Search engine optimisation means helping it at each of those three moments, and it comes down to four things, often called the pillars of SEO. It's common for a site to get one or two right and forget the rest: great copy on a site that takes forever to load, or a lightning-fast site with three pages that answer nothing. If you suspect something's off under the hood, an SEO audit finds it and ranks it by what it costs you.
The riskiest moment is changing websites. If old addresses disappear without pointing anywhere, Google loses what it learned from them. That's why every redesign we do includes a website migration that keeps what already brings you visits: we keep the domain and every old address points to its new page.
Pages that load without errors, one address each and no forgotten setting that locks Google out.
technical: crawling, indexing and canonicals
One service, one page, written with the words people actually search for, which aren't always yours.
content and on-page SEO
Reviews, local directories, suppliers or local press mentioning you. Buying links breaks Google's spam policies.
authority: links and mentions
A site that loads fast on a phone, makes sense right away and has the call or text button at hand.
user experience and Core Web Vitals
Irish businesses usually choose between a freelance consultant, a small agency and one of the bigger Dublin agencies with account managers. A consultant may hand you a list for someone else to carry out; an agency usually makes the changes as well. Ask how they work rather than going by the label.
With a freelancer you deal with the person doing the work, within the limits of one diary. We're two SEO specialists, Òscar Bordetas and Carles Encinas, and we cover the searches, the writing, the website, the Google profile and the tracking between us, at a fee you can read on this page.
Before you pay anyone, ask what they'd change first on your site (that's what our free audit sends you), be careful with guarantees of first place and make sure the domain and Google accounts are in your name. Google's own guide to hiring an SEO lists good questions to ask.
A physio practice in Ennis or a roofer in Wexford doesn't need the SEO of a national retailer. You have a handful of services, a clear area and competitors you could name. A few well-built pages and a complete Google profile go a long way in most Irish towns.
For the searches that matter to you, Google shows a map with three businesses first, so website SEO and local SEO go together. If you sell online to the whole country, that's ecommerce SEO, a different job.
A monthly fee we put in your quote after the free audit, since it depends on how many services and towns need work and how crowded your searches are. It covers the first round of work (keyword research, the pages you're missing, your Google profile and the fixes to your site) and then each month's work: new pages, reviews, local mentions and enquiry tracking. No set-up charge, no minimum term, 30 days' notice to stop.
You get the first invoice once that first round is live and you've checked it. A new website, if you need one, is priced separately and paid when it's finished. To compare, read how much SEO costs in Ireland; all our prices are on the pricing page.
The exact words people in your area use, grouped by what they want, and each group matched to the page that will serve it.
real searches with their volume: we know which pages pay off before writing them
With its own copy: what's included, who it's for, how long it takes and the questions you always get, with the contact button in plain sight.
its own URL, title and heading: Google doesn't have to guess
Title, headings, copy, photos and links to your other pages, planned so Google understands which search each page answers.
on-page SEO: title, H1 and H2, copy, image alt text and internal links
If you serve several towns, each area that deserves it gets a page with what's different there. Copying the same page and swapping the town name doesn't work.
unique content per area: Google ignores cloned pages
We hand-write the title and description that show up in each page's result, so people comparing pick yours.
title tags and meta descriptions, one by one
Google can read every page, each page has one address and it loads fast on a phone with a normal signal.
technical SEO: crawling, indexing, redirects and load speed
Trade directories, associations, suppliers and local press linking to you, one at a time and for a reason. No link packages.
off-page SEO: local link building, no bought links
Your services, FAQs and contact details written so Google reads them without guessing and AI assistants can pick them up too.
