How we work, one step at a time
Four steps from your first message to your website going live: what we do each week, what we need from you and what you get, with a signed date and the progress there to see.
Today · 2 minutes to request it
First we look at your business, free
You tell us in a short form what you do, where you work and your website, if you have one. That's enough for us to get going. We search for what you sell on a phone, the way your customers do, and note who shows up, in what order and with which page.
More detail
Then we look at your website the way someone finding you for the first time would: how long it takes to load, whether it's clear what you do and how many taps it takes to call you. We review your Google Business Profile and what the businesses winning those searches do. If you run ads or social, we look at those too. The details are in how we put your quote together.
- We ask you for
- Fill in the form, in 2 minutes.
- You get
- A message confirming we have it and, if anything's missing, a single question.

The plan and a fixed price arrive
A document in plain English arrives by email. First, what happens today when people search for you, with screenshots. Then the plan: which pages your site will have and which search each one is built for, what we'll do with your Google listing, whether ads make sense and what we keep from what you already have. If you don't need something, we say so. You can see a sample audit before requesting yours.
More detail
The quote comes with it: the fixed price of the website, paid once it's done, or the monthly fee for SEO or ads, plus the delivery date. Read it at your own pace, ask us about anything unclear and decide. If it isn't a fit, nobody chases you.
- We ask you for
- Read it and, if it works for you, accept it.
- You get
- What we found, the page-by-page plan and the fixed quote, free.
Usually about 6 weeks
The build, with the progress there to see
If you accept, we start without you paying anything. You get access to your private tracking page and a single message listing everything we need from you.
More detail
We work task by task, in an order designed not to lose anything: first we find what already works and must be protected; then design and pages, copy, your Google listing and speed. We ask for your sign-off at specific moments, like the home page, a service page or the copy before launch, not on every detail. Your current site keeps running as usual in the meantime.
- We ask you for
- Send logins and any photos you have, and sign off when we ask.
- You get
- Every task finished, with its before and after on your tracking page.
With everything live
Going live, checking and paying
We launch your site on your domain and check everything: every old address points to its new page, the call and message buttons work on real phones, Google can read every page and every enquiry gets counted.
More detail
Then we send your proposal checked off line by line, with the link or screenshot that proves each item. You review it and then you pay. The logins were in your name from day one, so there's nothing left to hand over.
- We ask you for
- Review the delivery checklist and pay.
- You get
- Your website live and your proposal verified line by line.
What happens in each of the six weeks
Week 1
Inventory and protection
We list every page on your current site and the searches that already bring you visits, so none get lost. We review your Google listing and send you, in a single message, what we need from you.
Week 2
Structure and design
We settle which page each service and area gets, and show you the home page and one service page for your sign-off before doing the rest.
Weeks 3 and 4
Pages and copy
We build the other pages and write the copy from what you've told us about your business. We update your Google Business Profile so it says the same thing as the website.
Week 5
Speed, tracking and review
We make the site load fast on a phone, set up counting for every enquiry and send you the copy to read before launch.
Week 6
Launch and checks
We launch on your domain, check that every old address points to its new page and send you the proposal checked off line by line.
If your plan is Google Ads, the steps are the same with other milestones: we review the account, set up call and form tracking, build the campaigns and their pages, and you approve them before any ad runs; the first management fee comes then. With social media, you approve the first month's calendar before we post. Each month's work then shows up on your tracking page.
The private page where you follow it all
Every project has a page only you can open. At the top is the percentage done; below, the tasks from your proposal, each with its status and, once it's finished, a before and after explained in plain English.
There's no need to ask how it's going: if you want to check on a Sunday night, you open it and see. If your business partner asks what happened with the Google listing, you send them the link to that task and there's nothing to explain.
You can open a sample tracking page, with a fictional project, exactly as you'd see it.

Google Business Profile
- Before
- Listed as “Furniture store”, with three photos and no services.
- After
- Category “Cabinet maker”, services filled in and the same hours as the website.
Home page
- Before
- A “Welcome” and a five-photo carousel that didn't say what you do.
- After
- What you do and where, on the first screen, with call and message buttons.
Workshop and project photos
- Before
- Catalogue photos from a supplier, the same as other cabinet shops'.
- After
- Your own photos of the workshop and twelve projects, sized for phones.
Percentage done
It goes up when we finish tasks from your proposal, so it reflects work done, not days passing.

Your proposal, turned into a list
The same tasks you accepted, split into done, in progress and to do.
A record that stays
When the project ends, the page stays as a record of what was done to your website and why. It helps anyone who works on it later.
You talk to whoever is building your website
Your project doesn't go through a salesperson or an account manager. Your questions are answered by the people working on your website, and when something needs deciding we put it to you with the proposal and your tracking page in front of us.
That way what you tell us about your business reaches the people who'll use it, and every decision has its reason: what was agreed, when and why.
Whoever does it explains it
We answer you ourselves, because we're the ones working on your website, not someone who has to ask around and get back to you.
Questions you can answer in a line
When we ask for something, we tell you what it is, what it's for and how to send it. If there's a choice to make, we give you our recommendation and the reason.
We tell you before you ask
If something is going to take longer than planned, we tell you. You don't have to write to find out whether we're still working.
No change without your yes
Changes to scope, dates or price only count once we've both said yes.
What you'll need to send us
Access to your domain
Through the company where it's registered, or by adding us as a user. We need it to launch the new website at your usual address.
the domain stays in your name
Access to your current website
If you have one, so we can save what's worth keeping and list every page before touching anything.
Your Google accounts
Add us as users. If you don't have them, we create them in your name. They tell us which pages and searches already bring you visits, which is the first thing we protect.
Search Console, Analytics and, if there are ads, Google Ads
Your Google Business Profile
Add us as managers. You stay the owner; we edit the category, services, hours and photos.
your listing on Google Maps
What you know about your business
Photos of real jobs, the areas you serve and the questions customers ask you most. We write the copy from that.
Your sign-off
At the moments set in the proposal, usually the design, the copy and the launch. It comes with what to look at and how to reply.
When the results start to show
We won't give you a date, because it doesn't depend only on us. Once the site is live, Google has to crawl it, understand it and decide where it ranks against your competitors, and that takes a different amount of time in every area and trade. A plumber in a small town with two competitors and a dental practice in a city centre aren't playing the same game. Google's own guide to hiring an SEO suggests asking what results to expect and in what timeframe; we answer that in your audit, for your area.
What we can tell you is what usually moves first. A well-built Google Business Profile and pages for services nobody else covers in your area are often the first to bring in enquiries. The most competitive searches take longer. If you're in a hurry, Google Ads lets you show up in the meantime, paying for each click.
And from day one we count every enquiry that comes from the website, so you don't have to take our word for it.
If we're late with the delivery
You still haven't paid anything: payment comes when everything in your proposal is finished and live. What we guarantee is the work and its date; rankings are a separate matter that Google decides.
The clock only pauses while we wait on something from you, and we tell you when each pause starts and ends. There's an example in how paying when it's done works.
Not a cent until it's finished
How paying at the end works, with an exampleQuestions about working with us
What's it like working with a digital marketing agency?
Usually it studies your business, proposes a plan with a price and a timeline, does the work and reports back. How varies a lot: some charge by the day, others a fixed price. We look at your business for free, send a fixed price, build to a signed date with a tracking page and go live.
How much time will I need to give it?
Very little, and only at set points: sending logins and photos at the start, and signing off the design, the text and the go-live. The rest of the time you can follow progress on your tracking page without lifting a finger.
How soon will the website bring in enquiries?
We can't give you an honest date: it depends on Google and your competitors. What we do give you is a signed delivery date for the work, and nothing to pay until it's live. In the audit we explain what usually moves first for a business like yours.
Does my old website stay up while you work?
Yes, it keeps working as normal. The new one is built separately, hidden from Google, and the switch happens on go-live day, with every old address already pointing to its new page.
Can I change things during the project?
Yes. Anything within your proposal just gets done. If you ask for something new, we tell you first what it means in time and money, and you decide whether to add it.
What happens if I don't like the design?
You see it in week 2, on the home page and one service page, before we build the rest, so changes happen while they're cheap. Tweaks within what we agreed are simply done; something very different, we explain what it means for price and date first.
Who writes the text on the website?
We do, from what you tell us and what already works on your current site. You read it before it goes live. Anything only you know, like your terms or guarantees, we ask you.
What happens once the site is live?
The website and every login are yours, and the website doesn't tie you to any monthly fee. If you want us to carry on with SEO, Google Ads or social media, those are monthly, with no set-up charge and no minimum term, and the first invoice comes once their set-up is live.
It starts with a form that takes two minutes.
Tell us about your business and in under a week we'll send you what we found, the plan and a delivery date, all free.
