How much does SEO cost in Canada?
What Canadian SEO agencies and consultants charge per month in 2026, with sources, what each price should include, GST/HST and the red flags in an SEO proposal.
Someone looks for a dentist or a mechanic on their phone and Google shows a map with three businesses. We work on your profile, reviews and site so one of the three is yours.
We work on both together. The profile, field by field, with manager access you give us while you stay the owner. The website, with a page for each service and each area you really cover, linked from the listing.
Nobody can promise a spot on the map: Google decides it and your competitors move too. The profile and the site are in our hands, and you see every change with its before and after.
The right category, current hours (holidays too), real photos and answered reviews. It's what people check before they tap “Call”.
Google Business Profile reviewed field by field
People searching the map are usually in a hurry and close by. If they find you and like what they see, they call that day.
If you drive to customers, Google and your customers see which towns you cover, each with details of its own.
service area on the profile and one page per area
We run the searches for your services the way a neighbour would, on a phone, and note who shows up on the map and why.
One way of writing your name, address and phone, and a list of every place online where they show up differently.
A complete profile, a page per service and area, and call and text buttons within reach. Every change with its before and after on your tracking page.
A link, a QR code and a ready-to-send text message for the end of each job. Asking is the part that depends on you; we make it two taps.
Paste your keywords and see the traffic, inquiries and revenue at stake, and what that traffic would cost in ads.

1 · What we found
Someone searching “bike repair near me” in Kitsilano doesn't see you on the map: your profile says “Bicycle store” and links to the home page.

Getting a business to show up on Google Maps and in searches for its area: a complete Business Profile in the right category, a page per service and area, the same details on Canadian directories and a steady flow of reviews. For you, that means calls from people nearby.
With us, a monthly fee quoted after the free audit, based on how many areas and services we cover, with the profile, the area pages and the review requests included. The first invoice comes once it's live and you've reviewed it, with no setup fee and no contract term. The Business Profile itself is free; you pay for the work.
If customers in your trade use them, yes: they send inquiries of their own and they're one more place where Google checks your details. Name, address and phone should match everywhere. In the audit we list the ones worth keeping for your trade.
Yes, as a service-area business: you hide your address and list the cities you serve. Google ranks you by distance from your base, so we strengthen the pages and reviews for the rest of your area. A virtual office to appear somewhere else breaks Google's rules.
You do. You add us as a manager and stay the owner the whole time. If you stop working with us, you remove our access and everything stays as it is.
Only Google removes reviews, and only when they break its rules (spam, conflicts of interest, offensive content). We help you report those and write calm, useful replies to the rest, which future customers read too. We never buy or invent reviews.
Local SEO is the work that puts a business on Google Maps and in searches for its city or neighbourhood. Google ranks those results by relevance, distance and prominence, so we work on your Business Profile, your reviews, your details on Canadian directories and a website that backs the profile up.
Google says more reviews and positive ratings help local ranking (its guide to local results). The business already showing gets more views, more jobs and so more reviews. Every month your listing stays half done, those reviews land somewhere else.
The upside: a wrong category or old hours can be fixed the day they're spotted. In the free audit we search for your services from your area and tell you what we'd change first.
In Canadian local searches the map often shares the screen with directories: HomeStars for home services, Yellow Pages, Yelp, RateMDs for clinics and the Better Business Bureau. Customers trust them and Google reads them, so your name, address and phone should be written the same way on each one you use, on your site and on your profile.
If you go to the customer (a plumber, a mobile groomer, a snow removal company), Google asks you to hide your home address and list the areas you serve (its guidelines). Cities and neighbourhoods beat postal codes there, because that's how people search. Apple Business Connect and Bing Places get the same details.
When a search has local intent (“near me”, your city's name or something people hire nearby), Google shows a map with three businesses above the regular results. That's the local pack, and Google has published the three things that decide who gets in (tips to improve your local ranking). Years in business isn't one of them, and Google says there's no way to pay for a better local ranking.
How well your profile matches the search. Google asks for complete, accurate details: category, services, hours and description.
we work on it: it's the profile
How far you are from the person searching. That's why the map changes from one block to the next, and why a fake address makes no sense.
can't be changed
How well known you are: how many reviews you have and how good they are, how many sites mention or link to you and how strong your own site is.
we work on it: reviews, mentions and your site
Many people still call it Google My Business; today it's the Google Business Profile, and it's the listing people see on the map. We manage it with manager access you give us: ownership stays with you and you can remove us whenever you want. We don't delete profiles or create new ones without explaining why first.
Beyond filling it in, we watch what tends to slip by: edits to your details suggested by Google or by users, unanswered questions, photos uploaded by strangers and special hours for holidays. Two mistakes drag a listing down more than the rest: a generic category and two profiles for the same business splitting the reviews.
If you'd rather do it yourself first, how to rank higher on Google Maps walks you through the steps. And if you need to be on the map from day one while the profile gains strength, Google Maps ads get you there by paying per click.
To do local SEO for Saskatoon or Moncton we don't need to be on your street. You give us access to the profile, tell us how you work, and we search the way someone from your area would. Knowing the real searches in your area is what counts.
If you have several locations, each gets its own profile and its own page, linked to each other. And if you want to be named when people ask ChatGPT for your service in your city, those same profiles and pages are the starting point; see AI search optimization.
It's one of the things that matters most for the map, and few people revisit it after signing up. We choose it by also looking at the businesses that show up today.
primary and secondary Business Profile categories
Services with descriptions, regular and holiday hours, real photos, posts, and the “Website” button leading to the page for your area instead of the home page.
tagged link to count visits from Maps
If customers come to you, your address shows. If you go to them, Google asks you to hide it and list the areas you serve (its guidelines).
storefront or service-area business
Name, address and phone written the same way on your site, your profile and the directories you're already in, plus local sites that would mention you: your chamber of commerce, suppliers, sponsors.
NAP consistency, citations and local link building
For each town you really serve: when you go, how long it takes to get there, jobs done nearby. The exact list of areas goes in your proposal.
no cloned pages with the town name swapped
Name, address, hours, area and services described in your site's code, so Google doesn't have to guess them.
LocalBusiness structured data, validated
A direct link, a QR code, a ready-to-send message and guidelines for answering good and bad reviews.
no incentives in exchange: Google's review policy forbids them
