A hair salon's sponsored post shows up in an Instagram feed with the “Sponsored” label and a “Send message” button; someone taps it and messages asking for appointments start arriving. Salon and data are examples.

You boosted a post and got likes, not jobs

This is what usually happens when Meta ads are run from the boost button.
  • You boosted a post for a tenner and got likes from people three hundred miles away.
  • The ad sends people to your home page, and nobody fills anything in.
  • Lead forms bring names that never answer the phone.
  • You can't tell which ad, if any, brought a paying customer.

What changes when Meta ads are aimed at enquiries

How we get there

We choose the audience by where your customers are and what they're likely to need, write an offer worth stopping for and send people to a message, a short form or a page built for the ad.

Every enquiry is counted, so each month we know what an enquiry costs from each ad and move the budget to the ones that work. The ad account stays in your name.

  • Only people in your area

Your service area and the right interests, plus people who already visited your site or your profile.

    location, custom and lookalike audiences

  • Ads that look like posts

Short videos and real photos that fit the feed, instead of banners people have learned to skip.

  • Every enquiry counted

Messages, forms and calls counted per campaign and per ad.

How we run Facebook and Instagram ads for you

Four stages, with the ad account in your name.
  1. Offer and audience

What you'll promote, to whom and where, and what your competitors are running.

  2. Account and tracking

Meta Business account, Pixel and Conversions API set up in your name, so every enquiry is counted from day one.

  3. Ads and campaigns

Ads made and campaigns built, and you approve them with the budget before anything runs.

  4. Monthly review

Cost per enquiry, which enquiries became customers and what changes next month, on your tracking page.

What paid social management covers

Ads, audiences, lead capture and tracking. The management price goes in your proposal.
  • One offer and one audience per campaign
  • Ads made for the feed
  • Contacting you in one tap
  • A second look for people who visited
  • Cost per enquiry you can read
What's included, point by point

We show you what ads your competitors are running

We look up your competitors in Meta's Ad Library and send you what they're advertising, since when and with what offer. If you've run ads, we also look at what yours brought.

Questions about Facebook and Instagram ads

What UK owners ask before running paid social. Yours can go in the form.

How much does a paid social agency charge?

Small UK social agencies charge £800-£2,000/month, usually with paid social billed on top, according to Whito. Our management price goes in your proposal, set by the number of campaigns and ads, with no set-up fee and no minimum term. Your ad spend is separate and goes straight to Meta from your account, with a cap you choose.

How much should I spend on Facebook and Instagram ads?

Enough to reach your local audience several times a month and collect enough enquiries to judge the ads, which depends on your area and offer. We suggest a starting figure in the audit and adjust it once we see what an enquiry really costs.

Is it better to boost a post or run a proper ad campaign?

Boosting is quick but limited: fewer objectives, less control over who sees it and little tracking. A campaign in Ads Manager lets you aim at enquiries or messages, choose the area properly and count results. Boosting is fine for a one-off; for steady enquiries, campaigns.

Do you make the ads as well?

Yes: copy, images and short videos, from your photos or footage, or from a shoot if your proposal includes one. You approve every ad before it runs.

Whose name is the Meta ad account in?

Yours. The ad account and the page are in your Business Manager, your card pays Meta and we work with access you give us. If you stop working with us, you remove it and keep everything.

Paid social means advertising on Facebook and Instagram (and sometimes TikTok) to people chosen by area, age and interests. We build the campaigns, write and design the ads, set up lead forms or message ads and track every enquiry, with the ad account in your name.

More detail: Social media advertising

Your customers scroll every day, long before they search

Many people don't search for a service until they need it, but they scroll daily. Ads on Facebook and Instagram can put you in front of them before that moment, so you're the name they remember.

In the free audit we look at what ads your competitors are running and whether paid social makes sense for your business.

Facebook, Instagram and TikTok ads, and retargeting

Facebook and Instagram ads run from the same Meta account and reach most local customers. TikTok can work for businesses with a younger audience and good video. Retargeting shows your ads again to people who already visited your site, and usually costs less per enquiry than reaching strangers.

If people actively search Google for what you sell, PPC on Google usually comes first and social ads complement it. To keep your profiles posting regularly as well, see social media management.

When paid social is worth it, and when it isn't

Worth it if

  • You have an offer people in your area would want.
  • You can answer messages the same day.
  • You want the ad account in your name.

Not a fit if

  • You want guaranteed sales from ads.
  • Nobody can answer enquiries within a day.
  • Your product can't be advertised under Meta's policies.
