Accessibility statement
We want anyone to be able to use this website: with a keyboard, with a screen reader, with text enlarged or with animations turned off. Here is the level we aim for, how we check it, what still falls short and how to tell us.

The level we aim for
The W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.2, level AA (WCAG 2.2), the level most accessibility laws and standards point to.
How we check it
- Every change runs automated checks on every page in all six countries: one main heading, headings in order, alternative text on images, visible focus on buttons, nothing wider than a 360-pixel phone screen and no text smaller than 14 pixels.
- We measure the home page, the main service pages and one article per country with Lighthouse.
- Colours come from a palette with checked contrast: text is above the 4.5:1 ratio that level AA asks for.
- On 23 October 2026 we reviewed every page, including with a keyboard: menu, expandable sections, forms and calculators.
What already works
- You can move through the whole site with a keyboard, with a skip-to-content link and focus always visible.
- If your device asks for reduced motion, nothing on the site animates. Without that setting, the search in the home page headline types itself once and stops.
- The re-created Google, Maps and Instagram screens come with a text description for screen readers.
- Forms have visible labels, and errors are explained with text and an icon, not with colour alone.
- Pages read without sideways scrolling on screens 360 pixels wide.
What still falls short
- We haven't yet tested every page with screen readers such as NVDA or VoiceOver.
- The calculator charts are drawings: the figures that matter are also in text in the results, but the chart itself can't be explored with a screen reader.
How to tell us
If something doesn't work for you (a page you can't read, a button you can't reach with the keyboard), email hola@scalia.agency with the page address and what happened. We look into it and, while we fix it, get you the information another way.
