How much does SEO cost for a small business?
What SEO providers charge per month, per hour and per project, with the US and Canada figures from two pricing surveys, what each price should include and the warning signs.
We're an SEO company for small and local businesses. We work on your website and your Google listing so that when someone nearby searches for what you sell, they find you before your competitors.
Your Google Business Profile, your reviews and your website telling the same story, so you make the map when people search nearby.
We find what's holding your site back on Google, rank it by what it costs you and fix it, with every change documented.
Category and product pages that show up when people search for what you sell, so your store gets orders without paying for every click.
When someone types “kitchen remodel in Plano,” Google looks for the page that best answers that. If your site has a page dedicated to kitchen remodels, with what's included, how long it takes and photos of finished jobs, you have something to compete with. If there's just one line inside “Services,” Google has nothing of yours to show.
That's why SEO starts with searches and leaves design for later. We find out how people search for you, decide which page answers each search and write it so it ranks and convinces whoever lands on it. If you serve a specific area, we work on your local SEO and Google Business Profile at the same time, because that's often the first thing people see.
The goal is for people to find you and reach out without you paying per click. We can't promise a specific ranking, because Google decides that; every month we show you what we changed and which searches start bringing you visits.
Every main service gets its own page and, if you work in several cities, the areas that justify it do too. People searching for something specific land right on it.
one page per search: Google knows what each one answers
As long as the page stays live and useful, it keeps getting visitors. No month depends on renewing a campaign.
Someone typing “estate planning attorney in Tampa” isn't browsing. They have a problem right now and find a way to contact you on the first screen.
We run the real searches in your area on a phone and note who shows up and with which page. If you already have a site, we look at what brings you visits today, because that gets protected first.
We decide which pages you need and which search each one answers. That map goes into your plan, with the date the setup goes live, before you decide anything.
We ask you, in one message, for what only you know and draft every page. You approve it and follow every task on your private tracking page.
We tell Google about the new pages and you check them. Then the monthly fee starts, and each month we add pages, reviews and mentions, with every lead counted.
Paste your keywords and see the traffic, leads and revenue at stake and what that traffic would cost in ads.

1 · What we found
When someone searches “bathroom remodel plano” on a phone, you're on page two, with your home page and no page about bathrooms.
2 · The plan, page by page
3 · Fixed quote
The new pages, your Google Business Profile and the fixes to your site are done before we bill you anything. The first monthly fee comes once they're live and you've checked them. After that, each month: new or improved pages, your listing kept up to date and a summary of the work on your tracking page.
We don't promise Google rankings, because Google decides them. We promise the work in your proposal, and you see every task done.
How paying worksWith us, a monthly fee set for your business after the free audit, setup included and with no long-term contract. The first fee comes once the new pages, your Google listing and the site fixes are live and you've checked them. If you also need a new website, that's separate, and we tell you in the audit.
Yes. There's no long-term contract: you give us 30 days' notice and we stop billing you. Everything that's been done stays on your site and in your name (pages, copy, Google listing and tracking accounts), so you lose nothing by leaving.
Google crawls websites, stores their pages and, when someone searches, ranks the ones that answer best. SEO means making sure your site can be read without problems, has a clear page for everything customers search for, loads fast on a phone and gives Google reasons to trust it, like reviews and mentions on other sites. It builds over time as Google reads and places each page.
The work that gets a website showing up on Google: keyword research, new and better pages, technical fixes, mentions on other sites, your Google Maps listing and lead tracking. In the audit we tell you which of those your business needs and in what order.
Ask them to show you what they'd do for your business before you pay, be wary of anyone guaranteeing first place and check that the website and Google accounts stay in your name. Google's own hiring guide suggests asking what results they expect and in what timeframe. If they send reports, make sure they explain what was done, not just charts.
It depends on your area, your competition and the state of your website, so any date we gave you would be made up. A new page takes a while for Google to read and place, and longer to earn its trust. In the audit we tell you what to expect for your business and what usually moves first.
SEO services get your website shown on Google when people search for what you sell, without paying for each click. We do it for small and local businesses for a monthly fee, with no setup fee and no long-term contract, and the first fee only comes once the new pages and fixes are live and you've checked them.
Google takes time to trust a new page: it has to find it, read it and see that visitors stay. That clock starts the day the page goes live, and there's no paying to speed it up.
Meanwhile, the businesses at the top keep getting the visits, the calls and, with them, the reviews that keep them there. Every month you wait is another month of head start for them. To see where you stand, request the free audit.
Google crawls your site, stores the pages it finds useful and, when someone searches, ranks the ones that answer best. Search engine optimization means helping it at each of those three moments, and it comes down to four things, often called the pillars of SEO. It's common for a site to get one or two right and forget the rest: great copy on a site that takes forever to load, or a lightning-fast site with three pages that answer nothing. If you suspect something's off under the hood, an SEO audit finds it and ranks it by what it costs you.
The riskiest moment is changing websites. If old addresses disappear without pointing anywhere, Google loses what it learned from them. That's why every redesign we do includes a website migration that keeps what already brings you visits: we keep the domain and every old address points to its new page.
Pages that load without errors, one address each and no forgotten setting that locks Google out.
technical: crawling, indexing and canonicals
One service, one page, written with the words people actually search for, which aren't always yours.
content and on-page SEO
Reviews, local directories, suppliers or local press mentioning you. Buying links breaks Google's spam policies.
authority: links and mentions
A site that loads fast on a phone, makes sense right away and has the call or text button at hand.
user experience and Core Web Vitals
There are two ways to get SEO done: a consultant working on their own or a larger SEO company. Pure SEO consulting often ends in a list of recommendations someone else has to carry out; an agency usually makes the changes too. Either can work well or go wrong, and how the person in front of you works matters more than the label.
A freelance SEO expert gives you direct contact with whoever does the work. The limit is one person's time: if they're busy, you wait, and if copy needs writing, the site needs changes or the Maps listing needs fixing, you end up coordinating other people. We're two SEO specialists, Òscar Bordetas and Carles Encinas, and between us we cover every piece: searches, copy, website, Google listing and tracking, at a published monthly fee.
Whoever you pick, ask them to show you what they'd do for your business before you pay; we send you that for free in the audit. Be wary of anyone guaranteeing first place, and check that the website, domain and Google accounts will be in your name. Google's own guide to hiring an SEO also suggests asking what results they expect and in what timeframe.
A small business doesn't need the same SEO as a national store with thousands of products. An auto shop, an accounting office or a remodeling company usually has a handful of services, a clear service area and competitors you can name on page one. That works in your favor: with a few well-built pages and a solid Google Business Profile, there's a lot of ground to gain.
Most of your customers search nearby. For those searches Google shows a map with three businesses first, and the listing, the reviews and a website that backs up the listing decide who gets in. That's why, in almost every small business project, website SEO and local SEO go together. If you run an online store, the work is quite different and we cover it in ecommerce SEO.
A monthly fee we quote for your business after the free audit, because it depends on how many services and areas there are to work on and how much competition you have. It includes the setup (keyword research, the pages you're missing, your Google Business Profile and the fixes to your site) and then each month's work: new pages, reviews, local mentions and lead tracking. There's no setup fee and no long-term contract; you can cancel with 30 days' notice.
You don't pay the first fee until the setup is live and you've checked it. If your business also needs a new website, that's separate and paid once it's done; we tell you in the audit, before anything starts. To compare with other agencies, read how much SEO costs; all our prices are on our pricing page.
The exact words people in your area use, grouped by what they want, and each group matched to the page that will serve it.
real searches with their volume: we know which pages pay off before writing them
With its own copy: what's included, who it's for, how long it takes and the questions you always get, with the contact button in plain sight.
its own URL, title and heading: Google doesn't have to guess
Title, headings, copy, photos and links to your other pages, planned so Google understands which search each page answers.
on-page SEO: title, H1 and H2, copy, image alt text and internal links
If you serve several towns, each area that deserves it gets a page with what's different there. Copying the same page and swapping the town name doesn't work.
unique content per area: Google ignores cloned pages
We hand-write the title and description that show up in each page's result, so people comparing pick yours.
title tags and meta descriptions, one by one
Google can read every page, each page has one address and it loads fast on a phone with a normal signal.
technical SEO: crawling, indexing, redirects and load speed
Trade directories, associations, suppliers and local press linking to you, one at a time and for a reason. No link packages.
off-page SEO: local link building, no bought links
