How much does SEO cost in Canada?
What Canadian SEO agencies and consultants charge per month in 2026, with sources, what each price should include, GST/HST and the red flags in an SEO proposal.
Two SEO specialists working with contractors, clinics, law offices and local retailers. We rebuild your pages and your Google listing so people searching nearby reach you first. After that, each month: new or improved pages, your Business Profile kept current and a summary of the work on your tracking page.
Your Business Profile, your reviews and your website telling Google the same story, so you make the map when people search close by.
We find what's holding your site back on Google, sort it by what it costs you and fix it, with every change on record.
Category and product pages that come up when people search for what you sell, so your store gets orders without paying for every click.
When someone in Calgary types “furnace repair NW Calgary”, Google picks the page that answers it best. A dedicated furnace repair page, with what's included, how fast you come out and photos of real jobs, gives you a shot. One line on a “Services” page gives Google nothing to show.
So we start with the searches and leave the look of the site for later. We find how people search for you, decide which page answers each search and write it to rank and to convince. If you serve set areas, your local SEO and Business Profile get done in the same plan.
Each main service gets its own page, and so does each city or neighbourhood that earns one. Someone searching for something specific lands right on it.
one page per search, so Google knows what each one answers
While the page stays live and useful it keeps getting visits. No month hinges on topping up a campaign.
Someone typing “emergency plumber Hamilton” isn't browsing. They want it fixed today and see your number on the first screen.
We run the real searches in your area on a phone and note who shows up and with which page. If you already have a site, we look at what brings you visits today, because that gets protected first.
We decide which pages you need and which search each one answers. That map goes into your plan, with the date the setup goes live, before you decide anything.
We ask you, in one message, for what only you know and draft every page. You approve it and follow every task on your private tracking page.
We tell Google about the new pages and you check them. Then the monthly fee starts, and each month we add pages, reviews and mentions, with every lead counted.
Paste your keywords and see the traffic, inquiries and revenue at stake, and what that traffic would cost in ads.

Your SEO is handled by Òscar and Carles, the same two people who go through your site and listing in the audit. Who we are

1 · What we found
Searching “basement renovation toronto” on a phone, you're on page two with your home page; there's no page about basements.
2 · The plan, page by page
3 · Fixed quote
New service pages, your Google Business Profile and the fixes to your site go live first. You look them over, and only then do we bill the first month.
Rankings belong to Google, so we don't sell them. We sell the work written in your plan, and you can check every piece of it as it's done.
How the monthly SEO fee worksOurs is a monthly fee quoted for your business after the free audit, groundwork included, month to month. The first invoice comes once the new pages, your Google listing and the site fixes are live and you've reviewed them. A new website, if you need one, is quoted on its own and the audit tells you.
No. You can cancel with 30 days' notice and the invoices stop. Everything done stays on your site and in your name (pages, copy, Business Profile and tracking accounts), so leaving doesn't cost you the work you've already paid for.
Your quote shows the fee before tax, and the invoice, in Canadian dollars, adds GST/HST on its own line. If your business is registered for GST/HST, your accountant can tell you how to claim it back as an input tax credit.
We write and optimize in English. If a good share of your customers search in French, the audit tells you how many and which pages would need a French version, so you can decide how to cover them before anything starts.
With ads you pay Google for each click and the visits stop when the budget does. SEO works on your website and listing so you appear in the unpaid results, which takes longer to build and keeps bringing visits without a cost per click. Many local companies run both at first.
It depends on your city, your competitors and the state of your site, so any date we gave you would be made up. Google needs time to read a new page and longer to trust it. In the audit we tell you what usually moves first for a business like yours.
SEO services get your website in front of Canadians searching Google for what you do, without paying for each click. Ours is a monthly fee with no setup fee and no contract term, and the first invoice only comes once the new pages and fixes are live and you've reviewed them.
Google takes time to trust a new page: it has to find it, read it and see that visitors stay. That clock only starts once the page is published, and no budget makes it run faster.
Meanwhile the companies already on top collect the visits, the jobs and the reviews that keep them there. To see where you stand today, ask for the free SEO audit.
A Canadian search for a trade or a clinic usually shows the map, then directories (HomeStars, Yellow Pages, Yelp, RateMDs for health) and then local companies. We can't move the directories, but we make sure your name, address and phone read the same there as on your site and your profile, because Google compares them.
Two things change the plan here. If you serve Quebec, people search in French and Quebec law expects commercial websites to be available in French (CFIB summary of Law 14), so French pages are their own piece of work. And because analytics cookies need consent (OPC guidelines), we measure progress mostly with Search Console.
Google crawls your site, stores the pages it finds useful and, when someone searches, ranks the ones that answer best. Search engine optimization means helping it at each of those three moments, and it comes down to four things, often called the pillars of SEO. It's common for a site to get one or two right and forget the rest: great copy on a site that takes forever to load, or a lightning-fast site with three pages that answer nothing. If you suspect something's off under the hood, an SEO audit finds it and ranks it by what it costs you.
The riskiest moment is changing websites. If old addresses disappear without pointing anywhere, Google loses what it learned from them. That's why every redesign we do includes a website migration that keeps what already brings you visits: we keep the domain and every old address points to its new page.
Pages that load without errors, one address each and no forgotten setting that locks Google out.
technical: crawling, indexing and canonicals
One service, one page, written with the words people actually search for, which aren't always yours.
content and on-page SEO
Reviews, local directories, suppliers or local press mentioning you. Buying links breaks Google's spam policies.
authority: links and mentions
A site that loads fast on a phone, makes sense right away and has the call or text button at hand.
user experience and Core Web Vitals
In Canada you can buy SEO three ways: a freelance consultant, a small company or a large agency with account managers. A consultant often hands you recommendations someone else has to carry out; a company usually makes the changes too. How they work tells you more than the label.
A freelancer gives you direct contact with the person doing the work, limited by one person's calendar. We're two SEO specialists, Òscar Bordetas and Carles Encinas, covering searches, copy, website, Google listing and tracking between us, at a fee published on this site.
Whoever you pick, ask to see what they'd do for your business before you pay (we send that free in the audit), walk away from anyone guaranteeing first place and check the site, domain and Google accounts stay in your name. Google's advice on hiring an SEO takes five minutes to read.
A roofer in Barrie or an accountant in Kelowna doesn't need the SEO of a national retailer. You usually sell a handful of services in a known area, against competitors you could name. That works for you: a few well-built pages and a solid Business Profile leave plenty of ground to win.
Most of your customers search close by, and for those searches Google shows a map with three businesses on top. That's why website SEO and local SEO go together in almost every small business plan. Online stores are another job, covered in ecommerce SEO.
A monthly fee we quote once the free audit is done, since it depends on how many services and areas need work and how competitive your searches are. That covers the groundwork (keyword research, the pages you're missing, your Business Profile and the fixes to your site) and then each month's work: new pages, reviews, local mentions and call tracking. No setup fee and no contract term; 30 days' notice ends it.
The first invoice only comes once the groundwork is live and you've reviewed it. If you also need a new website, it's quoted separately and paid when it's finished. To compare offers, read how much SEO costs in Canada; every price is on our pricing page.
The exact words people in your area use, grouped by what they want, and each group matched to the page that will serve it.
real searches with their volume: we know which pages pay off before writing them
With its own copy: what's included, who it's for, how long it takes and the questions you always get, with the contact button in plain sight.
its own URL, title and heading: Google doesn't have to guess
Title, headings, copy, photos and links to your other pages, planned so Google understands which search each page answers.
on-page SEO: title, H1 and H2, copy, image alt text and internal links
If you serve several towns, each area that deserves it gets a page with what's different there. Copying the same page and swapping the town name doesn't work.
unique content per area: Google ignores cloned pages
We hand-write the title and description that show up in each page's result, so people comparing pick yours.
title tags and meta descriptions, one by one
Google can read every page, each page has one address and it loads fast on a phone with a normal signal.
technical SEO: crawling, indexing, redirects and load speed
Trade directories, associations, suppliers and local press linking to you, one at a time and for a reason. No link packages.
off-page SEO: local link building, no bought links
Your services, FAQs and contact details written so Google reads them without guessing and AI assistants can pick them up too.
