You pay nothing until it's done
We give you a fixed price and a delivery date, start without you paying anything and you pay once everything is live and you've reviewed it. Here's how it works, with an example.
- Audit of your business and proposal
- $0
- You accept the fixed price and date
- $0
- The work, all the way to launch
- $0
- Everything live and checked by you
- you pay
- Until it's done
- $0
The terms of the promise
- The delivery date goes in your proposal: for a website, usually about 6 weeks.
- “Finished” means everything in your proposal is live and you've checked it.
- The clock pauses while we wait on logins, copy, photos or your sign-off, and restarts when we have them. We let you know both times.
- On SEO, Google Ads and the other monthly services, the first fee comes once the setup is live and you've checked it. No setup fee and no long-term contract: you can cancel with 30 days' notice.
- The promise covers the work. Google rankings, traffic and the leads that come in are not part of it.
We don't guarantee Google rankings, since no one outside Google controls them. We guarantee the work.
What it covers
- Everything in your proposal: every page, your Google listing, the contact buttons and any other task listed in it.
- The fixed price in your proposal. It doesn't change along the way and you pay none of it until everything is live and you've reviewed it.
- The signed delivery date. For a website it's usually around 6 weeks, and your exact date goes in the proposal.
- On monthly services (SEO, Google Ads, social media), the setup in your proposal: the first fee only comes once it's live and you've checked it, with no setup fee and no long-term contract.
What it leaves out
- Google rankings, which depend on Google and on what your competitors do.
- The visits and leads that come in after launch. We work to bring them in, but we can't sign for them.
- What you pay Google or Meta for ads, which is separate, in an account in your name, and set by you.
- Anything new you ask for along the way. Before doing it we tell you what it means in time and money, and you decide.
- Ad and social media results, which we never put a timeline on.
How paying when it's done works
Price and date, in your proposal
After the free audit we send you the plan, the fixed quote and the delivery date. You read it at your own pace and decide.
We start without you paying anything
If it's a fit, we get to work. You get access to your tracking page and a single message asking for everything we need from you.
You see every task progress
Your tracking page shows what's done and what's left. If we're waiting on a login, copy, photos or your sign-off, the clock pauses and we let you know when it restarts.
We launch, you review it and you pay
With everything live, we send you your proposal checked off line by line, with the link or screenshot for each item. If anything is missing or doesn't work, we fix it first. Then you pay.
An example from start to finish
A fictional bike shop accepts its proposal: a new website, one page per service and an up-to-date Google listing, with delivery in 6 weeks. We start on a Monday without them paying anything, and their tracking page shows the tasks and the delivery date.
More detail
In week 3 it's time for the service pages, and the owner had agreed to send us what each tune-up includes and which brands they work with. That Monday we ask for it and let them know: the clock is paused until we have that information, and the delivery date will move by as many days as the wait lasts. Meanwhile we move ahead on what doesn't depend on it.
The details arrive ten days later, on the Thursday of week 4. That day we write to say the clock is running again and the new delivery date is the original one plus those ten days. Both things are recorded on their tracking page, with the date.
When everything in the proposal is live, we send them the checklist line by line, with the link or screenshot for each item. They review it and then pay the fixed price they accepted. Until that day they haven't paid anything.
Why we get paid at the end
It's a story you hear a lot: someone orders a website, pays before anything starts and the project drags on for months with no clear date and nobody answering. If you don't pay until everything is live, the risk of the work dragging on or being left unfinished is ours.
More detail
We can do it because we study your business before setting a price and a date. The free audit tells us which pages are needed, the state of your listing and what to keep from your current site, and from that we work out a deadline we can meet. You can see how a project is followed in the sample tracking page.
And we guarantee the work, never rankings, because the work is the only thing that depends entirely on us. When someone promises you first place on Google, they're promising something they don't control.
- Fixed quote
- set before we start
- You pay when it's done
- nothing in advance
- Signed deadline
- usually about 6 weeks
- Everything in your name
- no strings attached
Questions about paying when it's done
Do I have to pay anything to start?
No. Not to start and not during the project. You pay the fixed price in your proposal once everything in it is live and you've checked it. On monthly services, the first fee comes once the setup is live.
What happens if you miss the date?
You still haven't paid anything: payment comes when everything in your proposal is live. The date only moves by the days the clock was paused waiting on something from you, and we let you know when that happens.
Do you guarantee first place on Google?
No. Rankings depend on Google and on what your competitors do, and neither is in our hands. What we guarantee is the work: that everything in your proposal goes live, and until then you don't pay.
When exactly do I pay?
When everything in your proposal is live. We send you the checklist line by line, with the link or screenshot for each item, you review it and then you pay.
Is there a catch?
The risk sits with us: if a project drags on, we're the ones not getting paid. We can work this way because we look at your business before setting the price and the date, so we know what we're signing. The fine print is the same as the big print: rankings and leads aren't promised, the work is.
What pauses the clock?
Us waiting on a login, copy, photos or your sign-off to carry on with a task. We let you know when it pauses and when it restarts, and the delivery date moves by exactly those days.
Does it apply to Google Ads and social media too?
Yes, in its monthly version. We build the campaigns or set up the profiles, you approve them, and only then does the first monthly fee come, with no setup fee and no long-term contract (30 days' notice). What the ads or posts bring in is never part of it, because we don't put timelines on results.
